Lenzing pioneers web technology to drive sustainability

The Lenzing Group has pioneered a new technology platform, Lenzing Web Technology, with a focus on sustainable nonwoven products that will open up new market opportunities for the industry. Following an investment of €26 million and years of R&D, Lenzing has completed the commissioning phase for 1 metre wide pilot facility located at their headquarters.

Stakeholders clear way for Xerium’s merger with Andritz

The stakeholders of Xerium Technologies have approved the previously announced merger agreement with Andritz AG, pursuant to which Xerium will be acquired by Andritz. Morphosis has used reinforced fibre to weave a textile research facility’s façade. The folded facade of the Morphosis-designed Kolon One & Only Tower in Seoul is made from a high tech fibre used to make bullet-proof vests. Aramid, the material Morphosis chose for the interconnected sunshade system, is a reinforced fibre manufactured by Kolon.
