Austrian firm Starlinger is taking over Oerlikon’s German business unit of tape and monofilament technologies, under the brand name ‘Barmag Spinnzwirn’. The final closing of the purchase contract is planned for the end of the third quarter of this year. Starlinger is a leading engineering company and a supplier of textile machinery and complete lines.

The RadiciGroup has presented a new 100 per cent nylon gilet, made with the collaboration of the companies in its 100 per cent European production chain, to the coaches of its ski club. The gilet will be worn by all RadiciGroup ski club athletes. RadiciGroup is a producer of chemical intermediates, engineering plastics, synthetic fibres, and nonwovens.

Solvay has developed FusePly, a breakthrough composite bonding technology to build reliable, bonded composite parts using conventional manufacturing processes.
