Dickson, the world’s leading technical textile producer, has introduced two new awning fabrics that facilitate easy maintenance and also ensure safety in present-day business environment.

Awning fabric is often used to cover restaurant terraces and building facades.

The latest textile innovations – the new Alto-FR fire resistant awning fabric and Orchestra Max Self cleaning awning fabric - are meant to further perfect solution for present-day business environment needs.

In modern times, awnings are often exposed to airborne pollution, tobacco smoke and other polluting sources, which are very much inherent in present-day urban environment. Also, they are exposed to risk of fire from candles and heaters on open terraces.

A unique solution dyed polyester fabric with inherent fire resistance, Alto-FR complies with Australian Standard AS/NZ 1530.3-1999, thus guaranteeing utmost safety to the users.

Made from fire-resistant fibres, Alto-FR tones down fire risk to the minimum, and ensures utmost safety to people in places like restaurants, hotels, cafes and hospitals.

It would also be a perfect awning fabric for hospitality business owners, who need to tackle several risks posed by the use of candles, gas, electric heaters on terraces.

The new fabric is so designed that it fits seamlessly with modern awnings. Enduring smart looks, the fabric comes in a range of 11 highly contemporary solid shades, and it also has a water resistant coating.

The Orchestra Max Self Cleaning awning fabric is a multipurpose fabric, which is suitable for permanent installations on awnings exposed to pollutions and severe weather of Australia. The fabric is particularly designed to cater to hotels, restaurants, shops and demanding homeowners.

The Orchestra Max range draws inspiration from lotus leaf, which remains clean and dry in spite of wet and muddy surroundings. The fabric range comes pre-coated with a special treatment called Permaclean that causes water to drip right away while carrying all the dirt along, even before it can settle on the awning.

Maintenance of the new fabric is quiet easy as spraying with water is enough to keep it clean.

The water-repellent, anti-UV fabric is also waterproof, and hence it can even be used on outdoor terraces throughout the year, to block heat, keep temperature low and also to ensure protection against rain.
