“International Conference on Manmade Fibre Textiles”.
This conference which has also received support from the government of Gujarat, will be held on November 18-19, 2011 in the premises of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad (IIM-A).
Mr Maheshwar Sahu (Principal Secretary – Industries) – Govt of Gujarat has given his kind consent to be the Chief Guest at the conference and will also deliver the inaugural address.
Natural fibre will have its own limitations in terms of availability in future, hence it is important for people to know the developments and innovations in manmade fibre textiles.
Manmade fibre textiles are not discussed much in the Indian textile scenario and this conference will discuss ways and means of taking the Indian manmade fibre textile industry forward.
Conference will focus on Surat textile industry, as the textile hub accounts for 65 percent of manmade fiber textiles produced in India like polyester, viscose and nylon.
International and Indian experts will discuss and deliberate recent technological advances in product innovations, raw materials, branding as well as modern management needs of this emergent sector along with the opportunities in technical textiles.
Two panel sessions, one on
technical textiles and the other on
apparel and household textiles is expected to enhance the deliberations at the conference.
Mr. Robin Anson - globally acclaimed UK-based textile analyst will deliver the keynote address and will also deliberate upon China’s leadership in the field of man-made fibre textiles.
