Techtextil India to begin from Oct 10

Techtextil India an international Trade Fair for Technical Textiles & Nonwovens pure innovation energy will held on 10-12 October, 2011, at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (E), Mumbai.
This event is supported by major government bodies and associations such as the Ministry of Textiles; Indian Technical Textile Association; Bombay Textile Research Association and The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC).
Shri A. B. Joshi, Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, will be the honorable guest for the event.
Participants will include exhibitors from 14 countries - Belgium, China, France, Germany, Holland, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Sweden, Turkey, USA, Austria and Indonesia with the overwhelming participation from 132 exhibitors. Germany, France, Belgium and China will have international country pavilions.
Alongside the expo, a symposium has also been organised. The symposium will focus on the theme “Learn collaborate and innovate” with the best of Indian and international delegates and speakers from the textile industry.
The keynote speakers of the symposium are Michael Jaenecke – Techtextil worldwide; Roshan Shishoo - former director, IFP Sweden; Fernando Merina - CITEVE, Portugal; Liz Mallen - Dow Consulting, UK; Julian Ellis – Ellis Developments, UK and many more.
The symposium will have four sessions. Session 1 will address global markets for technical textiles. Session 2 will focus on issues facing companies that want to make the transition from manufacturing traditional to technical products. Session 3 and 4 will explore these topics in more detail, with particular reference to key market sectors- geotextiles, textiles for agriculture and horticulture use, medical textiles, and safety and protection.
Speakers with experience of the key issues will address topics such as, how to re-engineer a company’s manufacturing chain and corporate culture; how to develop products; how to select the right market sectors; how to exploit the latest raw materials, machinery, manufacturing process, and marketing and sales techniques; the importance of testing and quality control, and certification; how to find new partners and how to target new customers; where to find help and support.
