Global composites output touches 9.2mn tons in 2012

In 2012, the production of global composites reached 9.2 million tons and their market value was € 81.6 billion, president and CEO of JEC Group Mr. Frédérique Mutel said while announcing the JEC Composites Exhibition and Symposium.
Mr. Mutel said the global composites market is currently growing at an average annual rate of six percent.
The JEC Composites Exhibition and Symposium will be held in Paris on March 12-14, 2013.
JEC Europe in Paris is the only trade show that unites the global composites industry, by providing an international platform where users can find a full spectrum of processes, new materials, and composite solutions.
The show is likely to attract over 1,180 exhibitors, with 80 percent of them being from countries other than France.
JEC is the largest composites industry organization in the world with a network of 250,000 professionals from 100 different countries.
Globally, the composites industry employs 550,000 professionals.
