Oerlikon Neumag got order from Turkey for Airlaid Plant

On the occasion of Index 2011 in Geneva Oerlikon Neumag announced that they have received an order for an Airlaid plant with a capacity of 7000 tons per year in March 2011. The contract of the Airlaid equipment was concluded with Selcuk Group in Turkey who is a leading producer of yarns and textiles in the region of Gaziantep.
In March 2011 Oerlikon Neumag successfully signed a deal with Selcuk Group, well known as a producer of carded, combed and melanged yarns as well as fabrics for the European market. Here Oerlikon Neumag will deliver the complete Airlaid plant with a festooning system and in addition will carry out the supervision of erection and commissioning. This plant, with a total capacity of 7.000 tons per year, is engineered to produce a wide range of Airlaid nonwovens for different applications such as feminine hygiene products, table top products, wet and various other applications. The line is planned for start-up end of 2012 and will be marketing the Airlaid products from a newly formed Selcuk subsidiary, KARWEB Air-Laid Products.
