SalesPro Games campaign to be extended
May 11, 2012 - Germany
Haste makes waste says the German proverb. This also applies to the training competition SalesPro Games created by the OEKO-TEX Foundation, Frankfurt/Main and the Bundesverband des Deutschen Textileinzelhandels (BTE), (German Federal Association of the Textile Retail Trade) in Cologne. Under the slogan “More knowledge, better advice, win an Olympics trip” sales professionals from across Europe are competing against each other and they can now do so for longer than previously planned. Entrants can now participate until 15 October rather than until 15 May.
This was the express wish from the markets which responded very positively to the competition but which also requested the extension. In these hectic times not every company has the opportunity to complete a training programme immediately.
The objective of SalesPro Games is to provide retail sector advisers with manufacturing dependent information on textiles tested for harmful substances as well as techniques on how this knowledge can be used professionally when in discussions with customers.
Training materials on product segments Baby & Junior, Outerwear & Underwear and Home Textiles can be downloaded free of charge in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese its website.
Everyone up to the task can enter the competition. In the preliminary round by 15 October sales staff of the respective product ranges will compete against each other and will answer 15 online questions. The 50 entrants with the highest scores in their category will qualify for the main round which is scheduled for November 2012. There are tempting prizes totaling over EUR 10,000.
The fastest entrants will be particularly rewarded because those participants registered by the end of May will qualify for a prize draw to win a trip to the London 2012 Olympic Games this summer. Irrespective of their position, all entrants who complete the competition will receive a certificate confirming their participation in this training initiative.
A country ranking will further increase the tension.
Not only can sales employees be winners in the SalesPro Games but also can consumers. This is because on the one hand they will encounter better trained advisers for their future purchases, and on the other a prize draw has also been arranged for them.
All participating retailers will receive a certificate with a QR-Code. When customers scan this with their Smartphone, they will be directed to the OEKO-TEX website where they can place their vote for "their" retailer.
