Pertex to use Performance Days to present high performance fabrics

October 18, 2012 - Germany

Pertex, one of the world’s most innovative developers and producers of technically advanced fabrics for the outdoor sports market, will be showcasing its high end product range at the Performance Days in Munich.

Balancing lightness, strength and performance, the Pertex range represents the ultimate in extreme fabric engineering and provides extreme alpinist equipments with high performance fabrics for apparel, sleeping bags and down jackets.

The Pertex fabric range showcased at the fair in Munich:

Quantum : is a true featherweight. Only the finest yarns available with the maximum thread count are used.

Quantum GL: offers the ultimate balance of lightness and strength. It is similar to spider-silk, balancing extreme gossamer lightness with high tensile strength.

Microlight: is the softest and lightest fabric in the Pertex® portfolio – essential when grams and ounces count.

Classic: is the reference by which others are measured. The range includes a wide variety of fabrics, including the core range, which has been successfully proven in the marketplace for over 15 years.

Endurance: incorporates an ultra-thin membrane with a durable nylon face fabric. This layer is so thin that it hardly adds any weight, nor does it affect the softness of the material.

Equilibrium: transports moisture away from the skin to the outside of the fabric where it evaporates, creating body temperature ‘Equilibrium’.

Shield: Face fabric with a layer of polyurethane laminate film reduces internal condensation creating a perfect balance of water repellency, breathability and flexibility.

Shield+ : offers maximum levels of wind and water protection for high intensity sports and fast moving outdoor athletes.

Founded in the 1970's by the mountaineer Hamish Hamilton and Perseverance Mills Ltd., the Pertex fabrics range bases on Hamilton’s idea to apply the capillary action to synthetic yarns like polyamide.
