Touch Concept to present real idea for active sportswear sector
October 17, 2012 - Germany
Touch Concept, the interdisciplinary joint venture of renowned designers, pattern makers and manufacturers will be presenting its state-of-the-art trend collection at the PERFORMANCE DAYS in Munich. Aim of the collaboration is to create and visualize future design trends by using the best patterns and functional fabrics for the autumn/winter 2014/2015 season.
In 2012 Touch Concept, an interdisciplinary joint venture of high performance experts in the active sportswear industry including renowned designers, pattern makers and manufacturers, was established by sportswear designers Eiermann & Hattenkerl in conjunction with textile agency Weichert Agencies.
The idea behind the cooperation was to unite the latest design trends with pre-eminent pattern making and most modern fabrics - and to create prototypes with state-of-the-art manufacturing skills and technologies. Using high-end fabrics of the most innovative manufacturers, Touch Concept translates future trends into real models to visualize how future garments can look like.
The intense and very future-oriented collaboration of sportswear experts resulted in a trend collection for the season autumn/winter 2014/15. With more than 15 garment concepts for outdoor, ski- and snowwear, the collection, presented at the PERFORMANCE DAYS on November 12th to 14th, shows innovations in terms of materials, design, patterns and processing.
Marco Weichert from Weichert Agencies explains: “The garments developed by Touch Concept represent the ultimate benchmark in the field of active sportswear. We show, how future sports garments could look like, what techniques will be possible and which functional characteristics active sports apparel might possess. To achieve this, high-end materials are combined with sophisticated patterns and up-to-date designs to set new standards in the active sportswear industry”.
The entire work of Touch Concept is documented with drawings, detailed sketches and photos. Large fabric samples and detailed descriptions of the materials used, give a comprehensive overview of each garment. The documentation can be ordered at the PERFORMANCE DAYS or through the Touch Concept partners. Samples are not for sale but can be viewed after the PERFORMANCE DAYS at Weichert Agencies.
