Austrian company Dyntex to launch Herox fabrics in Munich

May 05, 2012 - Germany

Two new fabric groups will be showcased by Dyntex at the upcoming Performance Days show (May 9-10) in Munich: a breakthrough in the world of down fabrics, the Austrian company has developed a full range of elastic downproof qualities. Herox, protectors, a newly launched brand, is a collection of high abrasion resistance fabrics offering a unique combination of protection, softness, elasticity and fashion appeal.

Austrian company Dyntex is focusing on innovation in premium performance textiles. The new product ranges presented at Performance Days in May illustrate the company’s continuing investment in high-tech and high-aesthetic fabrics.

Opening a new category in the world of down and synthetic puff jackets, Dyntex has developed a collection of lightweight and stretch downproof fabrics, available in either woven or knit. The stretch woven downproof qualities do not require any lamination and the lightest versions start at around 50 g/m2. The high-gauge stretch downproof knits are laminated to a high permeable membrane, the lightest references weigh around 90 g/m2. Both groups were developed in response to growing demand for slimmer fitting styles in down and puff jackets.

To add to their fashion appeal, Dyntex proposes the downproof stretch fabrics in a wide array of surface effects and textures thanks to new yarn developments and blends. Key special effects include subtle mélange looks obtained via dual bath dyeing or “thick & thin” texturized yarns. Trendy dull aspects, prints and novel hand feels, including the fashion-forward paper touch, are also available.

Designed for protective and workwear apparel, the brand new Herox range developed by Dyntex aims to combine innovative aesthetics with advanced protection by combining elasticity with high abrasion resistance. Herox fabrics are designed for protective patches (knees, seat, inside cuffs, etc.) in workwear and outdoor apparel and are available in many weights and textures. In addition to their high performance, they are exceptionally soft to the touch and come in novel color combinations or prints to add a trendy twist to protective apparel.

Founded in 2002, Dyntex is located in Austria and has offices in Italy and Korea. Specializing in premium performance fabrics for sportswear, outdoor and active sports apparel, the company is particularly well known for its ultra light weight and elastic fabrics.
