The A.CelliI Group Annual Convention 2011

The A.Celli Group of companies held their annual convention in Lido di Camaiore, Lucca on December 16 at the Conference Centre of the UNA Hotel and welcomed over 60 managers from A.Celli Paper and A.Celli Nonwovens.
Executive Management together will heads of HR, Finance, Supply Chain, CSR and Sales and Technical Departments gathered to hear practical insights and inspiring case studies given by two leading University Professors. Guest speakers included Professor Fabio Pammolli who has a Chair in Economics and Management at the IMT Institute For Advanced Studies, Lucca and Professor Paolo Preti who holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Valle d'Aosta.
The talks concentrated on aspects of the present climate in which companies have to operate in and in relation to this the dynamics of Italian SMEs with special reference to A.Celli Nonwovens and A.Celli Paper. Some of the key topics looked at how the current national and international economic and financial climate can present difficulties for companies of all dimensions. In response to this, ways to overcome potential obstacles were put forward by the speakers for companies to structure themselves in such a way as to transform challenges into opportunities for growth and success.
Sessions also took place which focused on aspects of effective team working, how to create competitive advantages and the importance of customer satisfaction.
One of the main intentions of the convention this year is to pave the way for the two companies to create long-term, sustainable business models with economic, environmental and social value. Giuseppe Antonini, CEO A.Celli Paper comments "We must acknowledge the fact that the two companies have accomplished a great deal. This said we all have an interest in ramping up our efforts to remain competitive. This convention is one of many efforts to advance the work done by the employees of the A.Celli Group."
Alessando Celli, CEO A.Celli Nonwovens remarks: "We have made it our goal to keep the two companies competitive at an international level and take our own measures to demonstrate competitiveness despite the unfavourable economic and financial climate."
A gala dinner was organized for the attendees during which speeches were given by Alessandro Celli, Mauro Celli and Giuseppe Antonini, which concluded the day's events. Special thanks to A.Celli Paper as the main organizer of the convention and appreciation to the delegates who attended.
