Fameccanica to expand its manufacturing facility in China

Fameccanica local presence in China as leading equipment supplier for the hygienic disposable absorbent converting industry continues its rapid and successful growth.
This growth was milestoned since year 1998, when the Fameccanica Sales and Service Representative Office was created in Shanghai, and later on in 2004, when the local equipment manufacturing in China started with the estabilishment of Fameccanica Machinery (Shanghai) Co., up to current 2011 when the Company has leaped into the future by doubling its capability.
The new Fameccanica Machinery (Shanghai) has a total surface of 16,000 sqm, of which 10,500 are for the production area and 5,500 are for the offices. By so doing, the new building is more than double the extension of the previous one and, of course, the same is for the capability in terms of lines that can be manufactured every year.
Since its establishment in 2004, Fameccanica Machinery (Shanghai) experienced an unpredictable growth that is esteemed to be constant also in the future. There’s evidence of such growth in all the most significant figures: employees that are now over 230, with a average yearly increase of +45% since the beginning of the activity in 2004. Also, more than 50 additional resources will be added in the current fiscal year, thus soon exceeding 280.
Fameccanica Machinery (Shanghai) was acknowledged a very important award by the SHANGHAI MUNICIPAL COMMISSION OF COMMERCE & SHANGHAI ASSOCIATION OF ENTERPRISES WITH FOREIGN INVESTMENT as an appreciation of its excellent economics and export numbers in 2010.
Fameccanica will be happy to meet and present the new plant to its appreciated Customers on October 13, 2011 while an official Company Ceremony involving all the Employees will take place on October 14.
