June 12, 2012 - United States Of America

OccuNomix International LLC, the leader in high visibility work wear and safety products, announced the acquisition of the OK-1 safety products division of OK-1 Manufacturing Company in Altus, OK. OK-1 Safety is a prominent brand in high visibility work wear and ergonomic safety products. Altus brand sporting goods are not included in the acquisition and will continue as a separate company.

Douglas Rose, Chairman of OccuNomix and Managing Partner of Gardner Webster Capital Partners, noted "This is an exciting time for OccuNomix as this acquisition unites two of the most respected brands of high visibility work wear and ergonomic safety products, and will expand the scale and capabilities of both companies to better serve our customers."

Paul Russo, CEO of OccuNomix, is "delighted with the acquisition, which adds OK-1's high quality products to our line, increases our scale, and provides established relationships with new customers while expanding our relationships with existing customers." He added that the businesses will be combined in a deliberate manner, in close collaboration with customers, to prevent disruptions. "OK-1 and OccuNomix customers will continue to order products as they do today. We expect to combine warehouses by year end, at which time customers will be able to order from one location and receive both brands on one shipment.

OK-1 founder and CEO Roger Teigen said that he was "very pleased to find a good home for the business" and expressed his appreciation for the professionalism of the OccuNomix team in conducting the acquisition.

James Teigen, General Manager of OK-1 Manufacturing Company and Chairman of the high visibility committee of the ISEA (International Safety Equipment Association), has joined OccuNomix as Vice President, Technical Development and Training. Russo stated that "The newly created role represents a major expansion of our commitment to the development of industry standards as well an expansion of our training of distributors, employers and workers to improve workplace safety. Jim's knowledge and expertise of the standards will help our customers and end-users enjoy greater benefit and safety from our products."
