The St. Louis Chapter of the Geo-Institute is joining with the University of Missouri-Columbia and the Missouri University of Science and Technology to launch a new geotechnical engineering and geo-environmental conference GeoConfluence 2011. This event will held at St. Charles Convention Center, St. Charles, Missouri on October 28, 2011. This annual conference will include papers and case histories focused on the geotechnical engineering and geo-environmental industry. Geo-Institute Cross-USA Lecture Tour Lecturer, Dr. Robert Holtz from the University of
Washington will deliver Lecture on Geosynthetics. Dr. George Filz from Virginia Tech will provide a lecture on the design and construction considerations for soil mixing under levees. Other professionals and students will present on topics of interest as well.
