March 17, 2011 - United Kingdom

UK-based Technical Absorbents, part of the Bluestar Fibres Company Limited, will be exhibiting a diverse range of applications for its Super Absorbent Fibre (SAF®) technology at INDEX11 next month.

Aimed to be the world’s leading nonwovens exhibition, INDEX11 takes place in Geneva 12th – 15th April and is the global meeting place for the nonwovens and supporting industries. All the key players from around the world, from all levels of the industry and across the applications sectors will gather to present innovative solutions with nonwovens. Exhibitors will include producers, convertors, raw material suppliers and machinery manufacturers, all showing their latest advances.

Visitors to the Technical Absorbents stand, number 2450, can discuss opportunities on how to utilise SAF® technology within various markets and applications, which today include food packaging, diagnostic packaging, hygiene products, dental, medical applications such as wound care, performance apparel, coolant technology, cable yarns and tapes, geo/agro-textiles and filtration.

SAF® is produced in a range of fibre absorbency grades, lengths and dtex, and also in filament and polymer solution form. As a fibrous superabsorbent, it can be converted via the traditional nonwoven, textile and yarn manufacturing routes, offering ease of handling and delivers superior final fabric distribution profiles and integrity, making it the super absorbent of choice for many customers.

Mr Dave Hill, Business Development Manager, said:
“Our products are being used in a growing number of applications and sectors. We are delighted to be back again at INDEX as it gives us an excellent opportunity to meet with organisations and individuals who are looking for an advanced super absorbent technology for their product.”
