Fiberweb launches a new Brand of Premium Roofing Accessories

Fiberweb launched a new brand of premium roofing accessories at the Dach & Holz exhibition in Stuttgart.
CLIMAT is a comprehensive system of vapour permeable roof and wall membranes as well as vapour control layers that are based on three decades of experience in the production of complex technical nonwoven fabrics. The range is based on decades of experience in manufacturing and the application of building laminates in providing private label solutions to some of the most well recognised names in the market. With CLIMAT, Fiberweb’s European building segment will initiate its own brand, relying on a strong collaboration between manufacturing specialists and application professionals to serve new segments (i.e. national building merchants) with superior quality and service gaining closer proximity to the end market.
All critical components of the roof and wall membranes will be manufactured in Germany at Fiberweb Berlin GmbH and incorporate the very latest in material and production expertise. The range of vapour permeable roof underlays is designed to meet the market demands for superior product quality combined with sound expertise from experienced technical experts directly from the trade. Fiberweb Berlin GmbH is recognised for quality ‘made in Germany’ and as a European market leader in private label vapour permeable roof underlays and vapour control layers.
A complementary accessory range such as ridge and hip rolls, flashing and abutments as well as a comprehensive range of adhesive tapes and sealants further completes the product offering.
Outstanding performance with Linopore UV+
One of the exclusive features of the CLIMAT range relates to the latest generation of ‘functioning film’ technology known as Linopore UV+. This Fiberweb patented technology offers an SD value of 0.02 metres offering exceptional vapour permeability while simultaneously providing a protective layer against water ingress. In ageing tests in line with the European norm EN 13859, CLIMAT products surpassed the requirements by over 40%, placing CLIMAT products with Linopore UV+ technology among the most rugged and durable products in their class.
The CLIMAT vapour permeable roof underlays are offered in various weight classes, which include:
• CLIMAT X3000 (130g/m²)
• CLIMAT X4000 (150g/m²)
• CLIMAT X5000 (175g/m²)
As part of the CLIMAT system, Fiberweb offers a complementary adhesive tape and sealing service specifically designed for the CLIMAT membrane offer.
