Miller Weldmaster launches comprehensive welding solution

June 26, 2013 - United States Of America

Miller Weldmaster launches the “Seamvision System,” a comprehensive quality assurance system that ensures top-quality production for standard and automation machine lines. The system greatly augments the production capability and effectiveness of Miller Weldmaster machine lines by using high speed thermal imaging production to capture instantaneous images of welding seams as a product is manufactured. Seamvision is designed for use by manufacturers in the industrial fabrics and technical textile industries.

“We’re pleased to enhance our customers’ production experiences with our standard and automation machine lines withseamvision. This is the latest development which reinforces our company’s core value, which is designing and innovating products that serve the customer’s manufacturing needs ably and fully,” said Jeannette Hendrickson, Marketing Manager of Miller Weldmaster. “

Specifically, Seamvision allows for greater quality fabric production than ever before. It adds great value to the operations of our customers, as their own customers will be impressed by the fact that their product was manufactured while such precise and strict system controls were used for process monitoring.”

Seamvision features 95 individual measurement positions for exact, accurate measurement of any size seam. It captures 20 images per second of the seam it is monitoring, for consistency in its measurements for all welding speeds.

The system also features seam monitoring alarms for alerting machine operators and for secondary spot checks to ensure quality seam integrity. Additionally, data collected and generated by Seamvision can be exported to excel spreadsheets, enabling manufacturers to record production performance metrics and use the data to demonstrate to their own customers their product manufacturing capability and quality.
