Composites Europe to begin from Sept 17

July 10, 2013 - Germany

With a clear increase in exhibitor numbers and exhibition surface, COMPOSITES EUROPE continues on its growth course. More than 400 exhibitors are expected between 17 and 19 September when the trade fair returns to Stuttgart as scheduled.

In addition to new lightweight construction concepts, state-of-the-art manufacturing and automation solutions for composites take centre stage this year. In particular, the trade fair will focus on key technologies for the composite applications markets such as automotive, aerospace, wind power as well as building and construction.

The list of exhibitors extends from raw materials producers to suppliers, processors and technology manufacturers through to service providers for the composites industry. Among them: big industry names such as BASF, Evonik, Lange + Ritter, Rampf Tooling, Toray, Saertex, Gaugler & Lutz, Johns Manville KraussMaffei or Schuler SMG.

However, a large number of renowned first-time exhibitors have also registered for COMPOSITES EUROPE 2013, among them Dow Europe, Broetje-Automation, Aristo Graphic Systeme or CCP Composites from France.

Demand from abroad for exhibition space is strong this year. The Italian national pavilion is already sold out, but the American, Chinese, French and Netherlands pavilions also keep growing. Companies from Tunisia, Slovenia, Norway or Lithuania increase the number of countries represented to 27.

AVK Conference, COMPOSITES Forum & Product Demonstration Area

The COMPOSITES EUROPE supporting programme ranges from the Lecture Forum to the Product Demonstration Area. Here, specialists from industry and research provide an overview of the trends in the market for composite materials. The overture to the trade fair in 2013 will again be the International Conference of the AVK - Industrievereinigung faserverstärkte Kunststoffe. From 16 to 17 September, top experts will speak about innovative applications of fibre composites.

HYBRID Expo trade fair premiere accompanies COMPOSITES EUROPE

Starting in September, HYBRID Expo will be the new home of hybrid components and related technologies and applications. The new trade fair will celebrate its premiere from 17 to 19 September parallel to COMPOSITES EUROPE.

HYBRID Expo will showcase the complete process chain of mass production of hybrid components - from materials research to manufacturing and processing, machinery, plant and tools to the finished component. Around 100 exhibitors are expected at the premiere.

One particular focus of the trade fair is the subject of process acceleration in the production of metal-plastic composites. In this context, plastic injection moulding, but also ceramic injection moulding, stamping technology and innovate joining technologies will play a central role at HYBRID Expo.
