In total, about 40 exhibits will be shown on the PFAFF booth in Hall W1, No. D1-01.
The PFAFF INDUSTRIAL highlight will be the Asian debut of the new PFAFF 3590 PORTAL large area sewing unit. The new machine is an efficient sewing unit "Made in Germany" that sets the standard when it comes to reliability and process reliability for sewing areas of up to 1,200 x 700 mm (under development: 1,200 x 2,000 mm).
The sophisticated sewing technology based on our XXL vertical hook and a unique seam-optimizing system provide the highest seam quality and a perfect stitch quality in multi-directional sewing across the entire sewing area.
A controlled thread nipper for needle and bobbin thread ensures a reliable seam start (with a neat stitch formation) across the entire sewing piece. All complex top-stitch and decorative stitching operations can be mastered with this new PFAFF 3590 portal. The machines are offered as a single- or double needle version.
Under the brand “PFAFF” a new modern post-bed machine series 1570/1590 will be exhibited in Shanghai. Focus of the machines are single- and double needle top-stitching operations on shoe uppers of up to medium-weight material. Top-quality fancy and assembly seams can be sewn and linings can be attached in combination with the separately-driven lining trimming device -725/04 (option).
The main feature of this series are the feed elements that are driven by stepping motors. So that, if desired, it is possible to switch over to differential feed using a knee switch without interrupting the sewing operation. Exactly accurate stitch lengths can be reproduced at any time. No perforation of the material during backtacking operations with exact stitch-in-stitch sewing is ensured.
With the machine 2081/2083 generation PFAFF INDUSTRIAL exhibits a reliable and powerful high-speed seamer with a good price-/performance ratio. An intelligent machine concept and the use of extremely wear-resistant components guarantee the quality, flexibility and sewing speed of this high-speed seamer series.
50 years of experience regarding the production of “dry machines” and more than 15 years of experience with motors integrated in the sewing head are reflected in these products. The quiet running of the low-vibration machines is one of the outstanding features. The built-in drive unit transmits the power directly (direct drive) to the machine and guarantees a 50% reduction of the power consumption compared to conventional drive units.
The machines work with very low thread tension settings. The needle bar stroke can be adjusted from 30 to 36 mm which is an absolute requirement for sewing an extremely wide range of materials. The 300 mm arm clearance of the 2081/2083 series is unique for a high-speed seamer.
-Single-pointed darts
-Two-pointed darts (new)
-Shaped darts for skirts with diagonally cut waistband
-Skirt pleats – open and closed
-Basting stitch to better press open the seams
-Short seam to pre-sew seams that are incorporated into the waistband
This partially overlapping work method enables the economic use of the machine. The concept of the machine ensures a conversion, independent of any guide rails. Pre-programmed patterns enable a change of operations in a matter of seconds. The patented material take-over station guarantees exact seam lines as pre-set. The stitch condensation at the end of the seam ensures a slim, neat point with no untidy “dimples”. The PFAFF 3586-13/02, a new version of this range that sews two-pointed darts on shirts and blouses (seam length 300 mm), will be shown in Shanghai.
In the welding section the new ultrasonic machine PFAFF 8312 dual will be exhibited. The machine cuts the edges, seals the edges and seams a second weld seam as reinforcement IN ONE OPERATION. The two anvil wheels (one for cutting and sealing and the other one to realize the second weld seam) on one post, but on separate shafts. The two wheels are running sync but the new patented solution ensures individual adjustment of the welding force. This is an absolutely unique selling point (USP) for this technology. The machine may be adjusted better and more precisely to the material at hand and increases the process reliability when welding and cutting to weld seams. The minimum distance between weld seam and cutting is around 1 mm.
