The user of carbon fiber can now reduce the input of fiber and resin up to 50%. C+ is also improving the acoustic, thermal and electrical insulation and also the oscillation behaviour of carbon components.
This improvement is based on a hexagonal foam core in the laminate. The cured resin is creating a honeycomb in the foam core which is generating a hexagonal double T- bar. This is the reason for a very high compression, flexural and shear strength. Thus the user can reduce the input of carbon fibre and resin input and the force-fitted connection of the surfaces is blocking the delamination of the composite.
3D|CORE C+ is available in customized rolls and boards.
3D|CORE, Herford, Germany and FRIMO, Lotte, Germany, are successfully cooperating in the LESLIE-Project, a project to optimise RTM - technology.
The L.E.S.L.I. is the a acronym for Low Energy, Speed, Less Input of material and equipment.
