VSE completely overturns principle of rotor sensors

September 18, 2013 - Germany

VSE Volumentechnik has completely overturned the established principle of rotor sensors, resulting in the RS flow sensors, a new generation of helical screw flow meters, which it is displaying at Composites Europe.

The RS series has many advantages, including high and virtually completely viscosity-independent accuracy, pulsation-free measurement, extremely low pressure losses, quick response time due to the innovative rotor profile, gentle fluid measurement and superlative functionality thanks to an intelligent sensor system.

The measuring element consists of a pair of rotors in a housing. The rotation is captured by a signal pick-up system in a contact-free manner via an integrated gearwheel and converted into digital pulses.

The fluid is transported in enclosed measurement chambers. The rotation volume is subdivided by a sensor gear then digitised, prepared and emitted for further processing.
