September 21, 2013 - United States Of America

Point Blank Enterprises, the worldwide leader in the production of soft body armor and related protective solutions, announced that the company will be demonstrating its newest innovations in tactical ballistic systems, carrier designs and hard-armor products at the 2013 National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) Tactical Operations Conference and Tradeshow.

Among the latest solutions to be showcased, are the Advanced Warrior System (AWS), Federal Tactical Outer Carrier (FTOC) and SPEED Plates available under the company's PARACLETE brand. These solutions will be on display at PBE's booth (#535) in the exhibit hall from September 22-23 at the Kansas City Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. The general conference runs until September 27.

Specially designed for the mission-specific needs of law enforcement, federal and special ops officers, the Advanced Warrior System, Federal Tactical Outer Carrier and SPEED Plates incorporate the latest and greatest innovations in protective technology -- driven by rapidly changing threats which necessitate the continual evolution of tactical solutions to improve officer safety and survivability:

-The Advanced Warrior System (AWS) is a newly designed system that provides optimum coverage and -tremendous versatility in fit while allowing maximum freedom of movement. Ruggedly durable and designed to be highly adaptive, the AWS is incredibly modular in construction and offers the ideal combination of form, fit and function.

-The Federal Tactical Outer Carrier (FTOC) is a highly scalable, side-opening carrier which allows tactical units the flexibility to configure the body armor system to meet mission-specific needs. This includes the capability to reduce from higher to lower levels of protection, while enhancing mobility, agility and substantially improved range of motion for the wearer.

-SPEED Plates provide the ultimate in lightweight armor protection against "exotic" rounds. Designed to be worn in the chest pocket of concealable vests, these multi-curve SPEED plates are ultra-thin and highly effective in helping to minimize blunt force trauma against a variety of rounds.

"With an ever-growing need for specialized personal protection, our newest PARACLETE solutions are a result of PBE's ongoing investment in high-tech research and engineering capabilities, to ensure that the officers who put their lives on the line remain the best protected in the world," stated Michael Foreman, Vice President of Government and International Sales and head of Product Line Management at Point Blank Enterprises. "At PBE we strive to develop and deliver the best modular, scalable and adaptive body-armor systems to the market today. We continue to thoroughly test our products in the field to the most stringent certification requirements, and consistently surpass industry standards. Our commitment remains to work with our end-users and partners to create even greater products that save lives."

NTOA attendees are invited to view the latest capabilities at the PBE booth (#535) and meet with the team for one-on-one discussions on how the company's new ballistic offerings are answering the industry's call for next generation technologies and designs that are performance-driven, mission-ready and can deliver the highest-level of protection and comfort.

Point Blank Enterprises will also be conducting a Tactical Shield Training Certification Course for local PA agencies. It will be held at the Fayette County Law Enforcement Training Center on Friday, September 20. Officers from the following agencies will be participating in the Operators Course:  Uniontown City Police Dept., Fayette County District Attorney's Office – Drug Task Force, Perryopolis Police Department, Uniontown Hospital Police Department, Fayette County Sheriff's Department – Tactical Medical Team, Pennsylvania State Constables, and Pennsylvania State Police.

"The continuing education and training programs such as the Tactical Shield Certification Course that PBE will host is a vital part of our efforts to support our local agencies in bringing officers up to speed and proficient in the use of advanced protection equipment so critical for performing their duties," Mr. Foreman concluded. "We look forward to the training exercise with our counterparts from the various PA agencies, as it presents another valuable opportunity to meet, share lessons and exchange ideas which we can ultimately incorporate into the development of better body armor."

Among other conference activities, PBE will also be sponsoring the NTOA 5K Run and Barbecue which will be held on Sunday, September 22 and will start at 1800 hours.
