Known as the silk capital of the world, Lake Como has been responsible for producing the most luxurious silk textiles. This collection was created with the intent of drawing from both the rich traditions of the region and its unique and celebrated textures and colors, turning these stunning fabrics into works of art.
Known for impeccable craftsmanship and quality of design, papers in this collection go through a labor intensive creation process that takes into consideration both quality and aesthetics.
Each design is produced on Jacquard looms, with threads individually controlled and woven in intricate patterns, some of them being silk. These breathtaking designs are constructed in a way that both reflects and absorbs light and then backed with nonwoven paper and trimmed for ease of installation.
"One of my favorite places in the world is Lake Como, Italy. The beautiful villas, the views of the lake, the atmosphere and the design studios are all a constant source of inspiration for me. It has been a life-long dream to work alongside the families that have been making textile wallcoverings for decades; to experience the creativity they demonstrate and commitment to their craft. I spent time working alongside them, refining patterns, colors and techniques to create what I believe to be a collection that I hope will offer many opportunities for you to go and create beautiful interiors." - Carl Robinson
