April 09, 2014 - United States Of America
Nordson ASYMTEK, a Nordson Company, a leader in dispensing, coating, and jetting technologies, announces that it received both the Service Excellence Award (SEA) and the New Product Introduction (NPI) Award at IPC APEX 2014, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on March 25, 2014. This is the 10th time in the 11-year history of the Service Excellence Awards that Nordson ASYMTEK has won. The NPI Award was presented to Nordson ASYMTEK for its new Spectrum II dispensing system.
"With its tenth SEA win in 11 years, Nordson ASYMTEK has done a tremendous job over an extended period of time,” said Mike Buetow, editor-in-chief, Circuits Assembly magazine. “This is a huge tribute to the entire team, as it demonstrates that most difficult of objectives: sustained excellence."
Nordson ASYMTEK’s Spectrum II meets the challenges of dispensing with precision Z-gap control and line path accuracy for MEMS sealant lines and solder paste applications. It’s very small footprint of 600mm x 1321mm minimizes manufacturing floor space and achieves maximum productivity per square meter with a speed of 30,000 dots per hour that rivals larger platforms.
Building on the reliability and success of ASYMTEK’s award-winning Spectrum I, Spectrum II’s design adds higher dynamic accuracy with single and dual valve configurations while continuing the tradition of flexible configuration.
Nordson ASYMTEK wins Service Excellence Award from Circuits Assembly magazine"The NPI judges praised the Spectrum II's accuracy, speed, and its angled dispensing feature,” commented Buetow.
Sponsored by Circuits Assembly magazine, the Service Excellence Awards honors companies that excel in the crucial area of customer service. Companies are evaluated by their own customers on dependability, quality, responsiveness, technology, and value for price.
Also sponsored by Circuits Assembly, judging criteria for the NPI awards includes innovation, cost effectiveness, environmental friendliness, ease-of-use, speed, throughput, design, and performance.
“Nordson ASYMTEK is proud that our customers have again recognized our excellent service, support, technology, and the value we contribute to their manufacturing processes and products,” said Peter Bierhuis, president, Nordson ASYMTEK. “We are also pleased that our new Spectrum II system was recognized for a New Product Introduction Award. A mission at Nordson ASYMTEK is to be at the forefront of innovation, continually developing new technologies, quality products, and providing the service and support our customers need to stay competitive now and in the future."
