HealthWatch to display ECG-sensing textile garments at ATA

May 07, 2014 - Israel

Wearable textile medical device company, HealthWatch Ltd., will be displaying its revolutionary ECG-sensing textile garments at the ATA Annual Meeting – the largest telemedicine and mHealth event of the year.

HealthWatch's hWear is the digital, heart-sensing garment incorporating interwoven textile electrodes, detecting true 3-to-15 lead ECG signals at higher quality than standard ECG electrodes at rest and in motion. These t-shirts enable continuous ECG telemonitoring via smartphone applications with no lifestyle change, no matter where a person may be. The garments and smart apps will be demonstrated in live action at the HealthWatch booth (4626) at the ATA Annual Meeting in Baltimore, MD (May 17-20).

Designed by textile experts, hWear t-shirt garments measure the highest quality vital signs all without electrodes, gels, or shaving preparations for both men and women. The garments are machine washable and interface directly with most existing cardiac telemetry systems. The garments are CE and FDA registered.

HealthWatch’s MasterCaution telemonitoring device provides patients and providers alike with state-of-the-art technology for real-time alerts providing mobile and cloud-based communications to detect cardiac events such as arrhythmias, ischemia, respiratory abnormalities, sudden patient falls, or prolonged immobility.

“The eHealth, TeleHealth, mHealth, and Tele-cardiology industries can now deploy intensive-care quality telemonitoring without affecting the lifestyle of their users ranging from patients within a hospital environment, to homecare settings, to heart attack survivors, to the active elderly seeking better coverage of their health, or to users wishing to have direct contact with their expert personal physician from anywhere,” said Uri Amir, CEO HealthWatch Ltd. “We will be submitting the MasterCaution telemonitoring device for FDA clearance in a couple of months,” he added.
