Freudenberg adds Dr. Tilman Krauch to BoD

Dr. Tilman Krauch, 52, is to join the Freudenberg SE Board of Management and the Freudenberg & Co. Management Board, with effect from October 1, 2014. The decision was taken by the Supervisory Board and the Board of Partners.
Dr. Krauch will be responsible for the areas of Innovation, Information Technology, Real Estate and Investment Management, as well as for Health, Safety and the Environment, together with the Freudenberg Regional Corporate Centers in the growth regions.
Dr. Krauch, who has a PhD in Chemistry, has spearheaded the Construction Chemicals department at BASF since 2010. Prior to this, he was in charge of the Regional Functions & Country Management Area, Asia Pacific with headquarters in Hong Kong for a period of four years. Before that he led the Polyamides & Intermediates global business unit from BASF headquarters in Ludwigshafen.
He started his career in 1990 in the polymers laboratory at BASF. Having held positions in manufacturing, he was executive assistant to the Chairman of the Board. Subsequently, he gained further international experience at the BASF Corporation in the USA.
Tilman Krauch was born in Mülheim on the Ruhr and studied Chemistry in Freiburg and Zürich. The father of four sons balances his worklife by spending time with his family mountain hiking. He is also a garden enthusiast.
