December 11, 2014 - United States Of America

The Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) has created a new division representing by IFAI members, who supply fabrics and fabric products to the US military.

The division is made up of IFAI members with a military focus, offering opportunities for both manufacturers and suppliers of gear, uniforms, aid products, and other personal and on-site military equipment.

“New educational programming, legislative and trade advocacy, networking opportunities and information sharing will be implemented for the division,” IFAI said.

It added, “The division seeks to ultimately create a separate military fabric and textile event to gather members of the industry.”

There are currently 32 division members with MMI Textiles, EHMKE Manufacturing, Weckworth Manufacturing, Outdoor Venture, Tape Craft Corp, Central Michigan University, First State Manufacturing and BondCote Corp as members of advisory board.

The IFAI represents the unified voice of the industrial fabrics industry and its members worldwide, although most are located on the North American continent.

IFAI’s goal is to expand the specialty fabrics industry through advocacy campaigns targeted to key decision makers in the legislative and policy-making arena who are in a position to enhance and create increased business opportunities for members.

IFAI promotes and supports issues and legislation that benefit the common good and support sound economic growth for its members and opposes unnecessary government mandates that hamper its members’ ability to remain competitive in the global market place. (AR)
