The Teijin Group will participate at Heimtextil 2015, the world’s largest home-textiles trade fair, which runs from January 14 to 17, 2015 in Germany at booth B-55, Hall 8.0.

The Teijin stand has been designed as a living space to showcase materials in real-life settings and will show products focused on comfort and ecology, including mattresses, comforters, pillows and other items.

Teijin will showcase comforters and pillows made with partially bio-derived Solotex, a polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre that is exceptionally soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and resilient.

Teijin has developed, elk, which is a lightweight, durable, cushioned and breathable material that serves as an excellent substitute for polyurethane in a range of cushioning applications, such as mattresses.

“It is also environmentally friendly because it does not generate cyanogen gas when incinerated,” Teijin says.

Teijin will also present a variety of high-performance polyester fibre for filling, including the highly soft-feeling, Fwaline and the ultra-light Aerotop, a polyester fibre that has nearly 50 per cent hollow ratio.

Teijin operates in segments like high-performance fibres such as aramid, carbon fibres & composites, healthcare, films, resin & plastic processing, polyester fibres, products converting and IT.

The group has around 150 companies and around 16,000 employees spread over 20 countries worldwide and posted sales of ¥784.4 billion or US $7.7 billion in year ending March 31, 2014. (AR)
