Chase Machine & Engineering, Inc., a custom machinery design and manufacturing company based in Rhode Island, has hired Michael Oliver as an automation engineer.
Oliver’s distinguished career has led him into mechanics, engineering, and automation, giving him a wide breadth of talents and skills that he hopes to continue to hone at Chase.
Born and raised in Rhode Island, Oliver began his career as a machinist’s apprentice learning how to make parts for machines. He later earned his engineering degree from Hall Institute of Technology and further developed his skills as a draftsman and designer.
Soon after, he started his own company and developed automation projects that helped streamline machines for a number of different clients. Oliver also has headed up automation groups at companies like Davol and Nypro, traveling around the country to different facilities and making key recommendations and changes to streamline their machining processes, Chase Machine said in a press release.
Maria Gil, co-founder and CEO of Chase Machine said, “Michael brings extensive experience in robotics and automation to the table. His passion and energy are infectious, and we can’t wait to see the ways he’ll help broaden the scope of our business.”
Oliver said, “I like seeing the difference I’m making with my machines. Seeing a concept for a machine design being developed and finalized is a huge thrill, and Chase’s innovative variety of machines and clients make that possible.”
