April 08, 2015 - United States Of America
Kadant Solutions, a division of Kadant Inc., a global supplier of high-value, critical components and engineered systems used in process industries worldwide, has launched CeraEdge creping blade line for use in tissue production.
The new creping blade utilises a thermal spray technology to offer a unique ceramic-tipped blade that provides tissue producers with excellent creping performance in terms of operating life and tissue softness.
The CeraEdge L creping blade is recommended for tissue applications that require extended blade life as well as high productivity, asset utilizations and tons per day. For premium tissue producers seeking high tissue softness, the CeraEdge S creping blade is recommended and is suitable for relatively dirty furnish due to its insensitivity to particles and contaminants. The thermal stability of both products reduces blade buckling, twisting, and warping, Kadant said in a media statement.
Jerry Vandoros, product manager at Kadant Solutions said, “The new CeraEdge creping blades fit nicely in Kadant’s product portfolio for tissue producers, which includes Yankee doctor systems and holders, spray booms, suction pressure roll doctors, steam and condensate equipment, and technical service.”
Kadant Solutions, based in Auburn, Massachusetts, is a leading supplier of doctor blades, doctor blade holders, and doctoring systems for papermaking and other industrial processes. The division’s water management products are applied to the cleaning of forming and press fabrics and the filtration of process water. (GK)
