Teijin shows fibres for protective clothing at CIOSH2015

Teijin Limited and Shanghai-based aramid fibre maker Teijin Aramid Asia Co., Ltd., the two businesses owned by global high-performance fibres specialist Teijin Group, are partaking in the 90th China International Occupational Safety and Health Goods Expo (CIOSH).
At the event, the group has unveiled a new meta-aramid fibre named Teijinconex neo, which is known for its high heat resistant properties and excellent dye-ability as well as varied environmentally-compliant protective clothing solutions, according to a Teijin press release.
The companies are also showcasing several lightweight, flexible and breathable high-performance solutions incorporating the Twaron, Technora and Teijinconex fibres. Known for their high-level heat and flame protection and wearable qualities, these fibres are used in making protective gear for military personnel, fire-fighters and police.
High-performance composite materials that offer new value are one of the four business pillars in the transformation and growth strategies of Teijin’s current medium-term business plan. The company has put a high priority on leveraging its high-performance materials in advanced solutions to meet diverse demands in the global market.
The international trade fair dedicated to the labour protection industry comprising safety production, reinforcement and personal protections, CIOSH, is taking place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from April 14 to 16, 2015. (PB)
