Teijin Group to partake in Techtextil nonwovens trade fair

The Teijin Group, a world-leading supplier of high-performance fibres, and its Dutch subsidiary, Teijin Aramid BV, are set to exhibit at Techtextil, an international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens to be held at Messe Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany from May 4 to 7, 2015.

The company would launch Teijinconex neo, a new meta-aramid fibre for the European market. Teijinconex neo achieves unsurpassed heat resistance, excellent dyeability, and environmental compliance for diverse solutions suited to protective clothing.

The Teijin booth will also present high-performance solutions incorporating various proprietary materials, including Twaron, Technora, and Teijinconex aramid fibres for protective clothing and reinforcement applications, Endumax ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene tape for bullet-resistant plate and reinforcement applications, polyester materials, such as elk lightweight urethane-alternative cushioning, Nanofront high-strength, ultra-fine nanofibre for consumer and industrial purposes, and Tepyrus ultra-fine short-cut fibre, the company said in a media statement.

High-performance composite materials that offer new value are one of the four business pillars in the transformation and growth strategies of Teijin’s current medium-term business plan.
