DSM hikes unsaturated polyester & vinyl ester resins price
May 28, 2015 - Netherlands
Depending on product and resin chemistry, DSM Composite Resins said it is increasing prices for its unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins sold in Europe, Middle East and India.
A DSM press release informed that it is hiking prices by €100 per ton and that the price increase will take effect for all new deliveries after June 1, 2015.
DSM stated that this new price increase is on top of the price increase announced in March 2015.
“A sharp increase in the pricing of our key raw materials has left us no choice but to raise the prices of our products as a result,” Fons Harbers, EMEAI sales director said.
DSM delivers innovative solutions that improve performance markets such as feed, medical devices, automotive, paints, electrical and electronics, life protection, alternative energy and bio-based materials.
DSM and its associated companies deliver annual net sales of about €10 billion with approximately 25,000 employees. (AR)
