Celanese to hike prices of all emulsions in EMEA region

Emulsion polymers producer, Celanese Corporation said it will raise prices of all emulsions sold in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) effective June 1, 2015, or as contracts allow.

Prices for all vinyl acetate based emulsions like vinyl acetate ethylene, vinyl acetate homopolymer and vinyl acetate copolymer emulsions will be increased by €50 per metric ton.

Prices for all full acrylic-based emulsions will be hiked by €50 per metric ton, while prices for all styrene acrylic-based emulsions will be raised by €100 per metric ton.

According to Celanese press release, this price increase affects applications including, adhesives, paint and coatings, building and construction, nonwovens, glass fibre, carpet, paper and textiles.
