UK’s leading manufacturer of polymers and resins, Scott Bader, is participating in the International Conference on Manufacturing Advanced Composites (ICMAC), to be held at the Bristol Science Park from June 24 to 25, 2015.

The conference is expected to bring together people from across academia, trade associations, institutes and industry, focussing on the development and advancement of composites manufacturing in the UK.

This year there are five areas of interest, with speakers covering topics under the key themes of: Assembly and Metrology; Automation; Design for Manufacture in Composites; Factories of the Future; and Skills and Training issues.

A technical paper titled: ‘Advances in Urethane Acrylate Resin Technology for High-performance Composites’ will be presented by Neil Grey, global business manager, Crestapol resins (Adhesives & Advanced Composites Business), the company said in a statement.

Scott Bader will also have a stand in the exhibition area, where conference delegates will also have an opportunity to find out more about the processability, properties, and performance in use of its carbon fibre compatible Crestapol 1250LV urethane acrylate high performance resin, as well as other grades in the Crestapol range developed for closed moulding and pultrusion, which can be heavily ATH filled to meet stringent fire, smoke and toxicity (FST) test standards for construction and rail applications.
