Evonik Fibres hosted the technical training class for fabric filter technology and maintenance at the APC/PCUG Conference and Exhibition, which it has been attending for several years.
Reinhold Environmental organised the 22nd annual APC/PCUG Conference and Exhibition in Atlanta, USA, which was held from July 13-14, 2015.
“The main topics discussed at the conference were ESP and fabric filter technology, desulphurisation and mercury control,” a press release from Evonik Fibres informed.
The session was held by its bag house specialist Florin Popovici and was well attended by interested delegates.
Besides the detailed discussions for baghouses the conference was also a platform to discuss the global topics of the industry.
“The new NESHAP rules for the cement industry send a clear and positive picture for the APC industry in the next years,” the German company said.
“However, the supply shortage of PPS fibres and litigation between EPA and energy lobbies has created an uncertain situation for the industry in the coal fired boiler business,” it observed.
