Combat launches Maxum & Madison Shipman fastpitch bats

August 06, 2015 - United States Of America

Combat, a leading developer, designer and manufacturer of elite baseball and softball bats and apparel, has announced the expansion of its successful Combat Maxum into fastpitch softball, as well as the launch of its all-new Madison Shipman bat lineup.

Following the successful launch of Combat Maxum in baseball, Combat is delivering the same innovation to fastpitch. A revolutionary bat lineup, Combat Maxum utilizes exclusive precision moulded seamless construction to extend the length of the barrel while decreasing swing weight. As a result, Maxum creates a significantly larger hitting surface and sweet spot, allowing hitters to make better contact more often, according to a press release.

All-new for the 2015 season, Team Combat unveiled its Madison Shipman bat lineup, inspired by the 2014 National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) Rookie of the Year and former First-Team NCAA All-American for the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers. The star shortstop for the USSSA Pride helped with the design and provided key consumer insights to help create a bat with the ultimate performance.

Don Cooper, director of sales and marketing, Combat said, “We’re committed to advancing performance in women’s fastpitch softball, a sport that is experiencing considerable participation growth. For the first time in our company’s history, Combat is delivering to consumers two completely unique and high-performing bat lineups for the upcoming women’s fastpitch season.”

Jen Yee, product engineer, Combat, and Olympian said, “Maxum is truly a game changer at the plate. As a player and member of the Combat research and development team, our new products maximize performance through our commitment to innovation and listening to what players want in a premium bat. Maxum and the new Madison Shipman line can compete with the best on the field.” (GK)
