September 29, 2015 - Belgium

OUTLOOK 2015, the world-leading conference for the nonwovens hygiene and personal care industry, conducted by EDANA, the international association serving the nonwovens and related industries, in Madrid, Spain, from September 21 to 23, 2015, ended on a successful note.

With more than 420 delegates from across the nonwovens and related industries, OUTLOOK 2015 confirmed as the must-attend event of the year for the personal care and hygiene products industries, showcasing EDANA’s daily mission to support the growth and promote the sustainable development of the industry.

Feedback from participants throughout the event underlined the satisfaction with the many opportunities to meet with the industry. With opportunities engineered for delegates to focus both on the conference proceeding and to enjoy relaxed networking, attracting the whole supply chain of the absorbent hygiene products and wipes industry from across the globe, OULOOK, the only one of its kind in Europe, proved to be one of the “must-attend” events each year, according to a press release.

Robert Ward from the Economist Intelligence Unit was the keynote speaker to address the “Global and EU Macroeconomic Outlook”, which was complemented by David Dodwell, CEO of Strategic Access Limited, on the final day of the conference on “The Rise of China and the Asia-Pacific: Understanding the challenges, harnessing the opportunities”.

Speakers across the conference presented market data, consumer, and demographic trends from Europe, Asia, and the global hygiene markets, and product and technology developments, and a special presentation on the role of private equity in the development of the nonwovens industry.

Ray Dunleavy, head of global marketing, strategy and business development at Fitesa said, “OUTLOOK is the event where the global NW hygiene industry meets. As a nonwoven supplier to this industry, it was essential that we attend and network with other participants.” (GK)
