Soo-hyun Kim bags the 4th Toray Polymer Prize

Soo-hyun Kim, Ph.D. from the Korea Institute of Science and Technology has won the 4th Toray Polymer Prize 2015 by Toray, a multinational corporation headquartered in Japan that specializes in industrial products, centred on technologies in organic synthetic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and biochemistry.
On 7th October, 2015, Toray’s managing director Moon participated in the prize ceremony to present the certificate. Kim has researched on biodegradable organics and tissues. The panel announced the result based on his research, animal experiment result, and 175 theses, according to a press release.
Kim said that it was honour to win the prize and he would work harder to get better results in the field.
Toray Polymer Prize was driven by the Polymer Society of Korea and sponsored by Toray Advanced Materials Korea to support study, research, and promote growth of polymer science and related field. (GK)
