Celanese hikes global acetyls prices

Specialty materials company Celanese Corporation said it is raising list and off-list selling prices for vinyl acetate monomor and ethyl acetate across the world effective November 1, 2015, or as contracts allow.
 
In a statement, Celanese said it is raising prices of vinyl acetate monomer by $0.03 per lb in US, Canada and Mexico, $60 per metric ton in Central and South America, €50 per metric ton in Europe and Middle East, and $50 per metric ton in Asia, except China.
 
For ethyl acetate, the price hike is $0.05 per lb in US, Canada and Mexico, and $200 per metric ton in Central and South America.
