FICCI hosts curtain raiser of Technotex 2016

The organisers of the
trade show on technical textiles, Technotex 2016 hosted a curtain raiser event on January 19, 2016 at Shangri-La's - Eros Hotel, New Delhi
“The event was presided by Santosh Kumar Gangwar, minister of state for textiles (independent charge), Government of India,” a press release from the organiser, FICCI informed.
Santosh Kumar Gangwar released the event brochure, a baseline survey on technical textiles and five new BIS Standards at the event which was also attended by Rashmi Verma, secretary, Ministry of Textiles.
The Technotex show comprises of an international exhibition, conference and seminars and is a common platform for interaction amongst stakeholders from across the global technical
textile value chain.
According to FICCI, Technotex exemplifies the immense potential for trade and investment between India and foreign countries in the technical textile sector.
The objectives of the show include; making India a manufacturing hub in the area of technical textiles under the ‘Make in India’ program and project the latest technological developments in the sector.
It also includes projecting the status, facilities and services on R&D; quality control; government regulations and controls and rules and procedures.
The show will be showcasing the latest products, machinery, equipments & developments in the industry for generating business.
The show will also encourage joint venture partnerships, project collaborations, transfer of technology, investments and R&D.
Technotex 2016 is being organised by Ministry of Textiles in association with FICCI from April 21-23, 2016 at Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India. (AR)
