UGN, Inc., producer of high quality acoustic, interior trim, and thermal management products, has promoted Randy Khalaf to the newly created role of chief operating officer and executive vice president of strategy, effective immediately.

Additionally, Randy’s expertise in international business restructuring allowed UGN to expand into Mexico, giving the company a presence throughout North America.
Prior to this promotion Khalaf served as chief financial officer, head of information systems, corporate officer, Mexico
country manager, and vice-president of finance. His more than 20 years of experience as a financial leader have provided him with the insights, business acumen, and strategic financial analysis skills to maximise shareholder value, according to a press release.
In his new role, Randy will be responsible for the operations of UGN plants in the United States and Mexico, as well as strategic initiatives including expansion of the manufacturing base, planning, investments, vertical integration, and acquisitions.
Randy is a member of both Vistage International and Executive Club of Chicago. He was a 2013 Oracle chief financial officer leadership award finalist and was named Financial Executive International (FEI) Chicago CFO of the Year 2014 for a large private company. Peter Anthony said, “Randy was an outstanding CFO who was instrumental in the transformation of UGN to a broad-based corporation with a diverse product line and US$400 million in revenue. He possesses the rare ability to cut costs without cutting corners. Faultless in all his dealings, and extraordinary detailed in his analysis and financial reporting—I’m looking forward to working with him as chief operating officer.”
Khalaf said, “I am honoured to assume the role of chief operating officer at this pivotal juncture in the growth of UGN. It is a pleasure to work with the visionary team we have across this company and I look forward to being a part of our continued growth in this new role.” (GK)
