March 25, 2016 - Germany

The Saertex group, a global market leader in the development and production of multi-axial non-crimp fabrics made of glass, carbon, aramid, and other fibres, displayed its latest innovations at the recently held JEC world expo 2016, from March 8 to 10, 2016, in Paris.

With a new campaign on the subject of steel-to-composite for new markets such as shipbuilding and railway vehicles, and many further highlights concerning the issue of efficiency, interesting discussions were held between trade visitors and the employees from the global Saertex sites, according to a press release.

Saertex showed trade visitors an impressive example of cooperation in terms of converting steel components into composite ones at the expo.

Also, two of Saertex’s customers, Nanotechnology Centre of Composites (NCC) and Acciona, received the prestigious JEC innovation award. Saertex supplied glass fibre and carbon fabrics for a modular bus concept designed by the NCC and for Acciona’s prize-winning lighthouse project in Valencia. (GK)
