Teijin Frontier establishes subsidiary in Mexico

Teijin Frontier Co, the Teijin Group's fiber-products converting company, has announced the establishment of its first automotive material subsidiary in the Americas in Mexico city, Teijin Frontier Mexico.

The company would manufacture and sell materials for auto manufacturing and serve as a headquarters for the North American market.

Teijin Frontier aims to expand market share by supplying rubber and materials for car seats and airbags to Japanese and other automobile companies operating in Mexico. Sales and marketing activities are scheduled to begin in July 2016.


Teijin is a technology-driven global group offering advanced solutions in the areas of sustainable transportation, information and electronics, safety and protection, environment and energy, and healthcare. Its main fields of operation are high-performance fibers such as aramid, carbon fibers and composites, healthcare, films, resin and plastic processing, polyester fibers, products converting and IT.
