General Nonwovens will be representing its range of polypropylene spunbond, SMS nonwovens, polyester spunbond and air through bonded nonwovens at the International Engineered Fabrics Conference and Exposition (IDEA) in Boston, USA, from May 3-5.

To foster new business relationships and global recognition, General Nonwovens invites entrepreneurs to meet the company's representatives in booth no 1624 at Boston convention and exhibition center during the event.

“General Nonwovens has two production plants in Turkey reaching to 20,000 Mtons annual capacity. General Nonwovens will be exhibiting nonwoven roll goods for hygiene, automobile applications, technical textiles, carriers for extrusion coating, lamination and layers for composites during the exhibition. We will be exhibiting spunbond nonwovens made of PLA, which is a biopolymer derived from corn. Starch based PLA nonwovens are 100 per cent natural and are biodegradable,’’ said Alican Yilankirkan, business development director of General Nonwovens.

General Nonwovens produces spunbond and SMS nonwovens in a range of 10 to 200 gsm for hygiene, automotive, filtration, agriculture and technical applications. Carded air through bonded nonwovens are produced in range of 18 to 100 gsm for hygiene and filtration industry.
