W.L. Gore to display military fabric & cables at AUSA expo

W.L. Gore & Associates, makers of high-performance fabrics and industrial manufacturing components, is set to display products from GORE military fabrics and GORE cables and materials at 2016 AUSA, Annual Meeting & Exposition, leading land warfare expositions and professional development forum, from October 3 to 5, 2016, in Washington, D.C., at booth 2733.
Gore offers technical solutions for military personnel and the aircraft and ground vehicles that protect them. The unique properties of ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) coupled with Gore’s innovation make products such as GORETEX fabric and high data rate cables industry-leading technologies.
The company will be featuring GORE military fabrics technologies that include GORE Katana Fabric, which is durably fast drying, comfortable, mechanically-strong fabrics for hot and humid environments; and Stretch GORE-TEX fabric, the only flexible-fit WWB (waterproof / windproof / breathable) military jacket available.
The GORE military fabrics group will also be introducing its new blog at news.goremilitary.com, developed to be an informational and technical resource for the military
textile market. Gore will also showcase its full portfolio of GORE cables and materials engineered to perform reliably for the life of the aircraft and land vehicle. Products that will be highlighted include small, lightweight high data rate cables, durable aircraft sealants, and outstanding shielding materials.
Throughout the expo, Gore will conduct live demonstrations using the Cable Installation Simulator they developed to replicate the conditions an assembly experiences while being routed during installation in an aircraft. Gore specialists will route GORE-FLIGHT microwave assemblies through the simulator and evaluate performance using GORE PHASEFLEX Microwave/RF test assemblies.(GK)
