Freudenberg unveils new website for Evolon fabric
January 04, 2017 - Germany
Germany based Freudenberg Performance Materials has launched a new website for Evolon, a microfilament fabric which finds application in several areas like automotive, bedding, building interiors, apparels, cleaning wipes, etc. Each of these applications is explained in detail on the new website, while also showing various benefits of Evolon.
The website design incorporates the new Freudenberg brand and adopts a modern and clear look, while featuring animated pictograms, which make it possible for visitors to visualise and thereby better understand the properties and benefits of the fabric.
Evolon fabrics are produced using a unique textile manufacturing process invented by Freudenberg. Endless bi-component filaments are spun, uniformly laid on a belt, then simultaneously split into microfilaments and entangled using high pressure water jets to create the final fabric.
According to Freudenberg, no solvents or chemical binders are used in the process and microfilaments and super-microfilaments based on the Evolon technology are up to 200 times thinner than a human hair. They are also 5 to 10 times thinner than many other microfibers. (AR)
