Akinal starts up Andritz Nexline wetlace production line

Nonwovens technology manufacturer Andritz has started up the Nexline wetlace production line for Turkey based Akinal Sentetik Tekstil. The Andritz wetlace technology combines wet forming and hydroentanglement, and is especially suited for the manufacture of flushable wipes that are dispersible and 100 per cent biodegradable, without any chemical binders.

According to the Austrian company, the Nexline wetlace is designed for high manufacturing capacities of up to 15,000 tons per year, while its wetlace technology fulfils the highest environmental standards for end products and produces according to the latest EDANA and INDA guidelines for flushable wipes.

Akinal Sentetik Tekstil is about to launch a new generation of flushable fabrics named BioFlush, which are dispersible and biodegradable. (AR)
