Teijin to participate in Outdoor Retailer Summer Market
July 12, 2018 - Japan
Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd., the Teijin Group’s fibre and products converting company headquartered in Japan, has announced that it will participate in Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2018, in stand #MR208. The world’s largest international sports and outdoor trade fair will be held at the Colorado convention centre in Denver, US, from July 23 to 26, 2018.
The Teijin Frontier stand will preview a 4-dimensional bulky Deltapeak and related hybrid materials that offer excellent combinations of performance, appearance and texture for sportswear. The stand will also promote Teijin Frontier’s environmental initiative, Think Eco, for environmentally friendly solutions including microplastics pollution research, fossil resource conservation and CO2 emissions reduction.
Deltapeak, a next-generation fabric that integrates physical properties, functionality, and quality on a highly advanced level, will be seen at the expo. Thanks to its dense, flat-knit surface, it is a light and stretchable form-fitting, anti-transparent and snag-resistant fabric. Various Deltapeak versions will be displayed, including one boasting a towel-like structure.
The 4-dimensional bulky Deltapeak, a new sweat-suit fabric and the latest addition to the Deltapeak series, will be a part of the expo. It offers a soft texture, high-bulkiness and lightweight due to its unique four-layer structure. The booth will showcase a new Deltapeak line—a two-in-one sweat-suit fabric that combines water-repelling and sweat-absorbing properties.
Teijin will display Octa, a fibre that features a unique, highly modified cross section of eight projecting fins aligned in a radial pattern around a hollow fibre. Notable advantages include rapid wicking and drying as well as useful bulkiness. Another type of Octa is a contort material integrated with insulation and lining.
Polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre, Solotex, a soft, stretchable, shape-retaining, dimensionally stable, and brightly coloured thanks to its molecular structure from a flexible spinning-like helix, will also be displayed at the expo. (GK)
